The E-flite Eratix 3D SWS (Sport Wood Series) with a wingspan of 1.6 m (64") is the larger version of the popular Eratix 3D FF (Flat Foamy) with 860 mm. It combines the advantages of a lightweight and stable wooden construction! The model is available both as an ARF version and, for the first time, as a BNF Basic version, which can be assembled in a fraction of the time compared to other models of this class.
Eratix 3D SWS 1.6m (64") ARF Overview
The E-flite® Eratix 3D FF (Flat Foamy) 860mm took the market by storm as the most practical, easiest to assemble, and easiest to fly "Flat Foamy" model of its class. Now, the Eratix 3D SWS (Sport Wood Series) 1.6m (64") brings the same advantages – combined with a lightweight, rigid, and durable wooden structure that offers excellent performance, convenience, and unbeatable value for money. It is the first wood model of this size that is fully 3D capable and available as a BNF Basic version. This version can be quickly and easily assembled without glue and comes equipped with factory-installed, high-voltage-capable digital metal-gear servos, a 6S-compatible Spektrum Avian motor and Smart ESC, as well as a 6-channel receiver with AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. Alternatively, there is also an ARF version ready for installation of your preferred power system and electronics.
The E-flite® Eratix 3D Sport Wood Series (SWS) 1.6 m (64") offers the perfect combination of aggressive aerobatic performance and smooth sport flying – without the effort of building a model yourself! The BNF Basic version can be assembled without glue and is flight-ready in less time than it usually takes to build comparable models in this class. Based on the design of the “Flat Foamy” Eratix, this model features a stable, stiff, yet lightweight wooden structure. The fuselage made of balsa and plywood with carbon fiber reinforcements is factory-covered with high-quality UltraCote™ film. The BNF Basic version comes mostly pre-assembled, allowing you to make it flight-ready in a very short time – no glue or special tools required. Thanks to the two-piece wing, which mounts without screws or tools, the model is easy to transport and store. In addition, the included optional Side Force Generators (SFGs) can be installed to further enhance aerobatic performance.
The BNF (Bind-N-Fly) Basic version is equipped with four factory-installed, high-voltage-capable Spektrum digital servos with metal gears, a 6S-compatible Avian 5055-500Kv brushless motor, and a 100-amp Smart ESC. The ESC provides a wide range of telemetry data from the power system – with both Smart and non-Smart batteries – to compatible Spektrum transmitters with AirWare technology. This version is also equipped with an AR637TA+ receiver that delivers full-range telemetry such as battery voltage, current draw, ESC temperature, and more. It also enables thrust reversal for special ground maneuvers and other functions. The receiver also offers the benefits of AS3X+, which is specifically tuned for 3D/XA (Extreme Aerobatic) flight performance without affecting the natural feel, along with the optional SAFE Select technology. The ARF (Almost-Ready-To-Fly) version is ready for the installation of your preferred electronics and power components.
Both versions feature a carbon fiber landing gear with optional wheel pants, as well as a large, top-mounted canopy for easy access to the battery compartment. They are also equipped with pinned hinges for the ailerons and removable pinned hinges for the elevator and rudder, making it easy to assemble or replace control surfaces without glue. All of these features make the Eratix 3D SWS an ideal model for everyday sport flying or 3D aerobatics – perfect for advanced to expert pilots!
