The new Funcub XL ND (NEW DESIGN) is the evolution of our versatile and ever-popular Funcub XL (multi-function high-wing aerobatic towing fun plane).
Our aim was to reduce the weight and give it a fresh new look. We achieved the weight reduction by redesigning the landing gear and the new EPP wheels, thus saving approx. 200g in weight. This gives us an even lower flying speed and a better thrust-to-weight ratio. The tuning undercarriage (#1-02061) can also be retrofitted to the existing Funcub Xl.
This also improves its outstanding short take-off and landing characteristics. Thus it can be used on almost any terrain.

Like its predecessor, the new Funcub XL ND also has many nice details, such as the very elegant LED covers for the optional lighting with the POWER-MULTIlight (# 7 3030) - a real eye-catcher. It also has a tow release included as standard (additional servo HS-225 required to activate) and a large drop chute for which a matching parachute chute (# 852004) is also available.
Why is the FunCub XL so popular? It flies extremely precise and grown up! We have given it large rudder flaps, decent power and very balanced flight characteristics, so that vertical climbs, aerobatics with knife-edge flights, and even cross-winds are possible! Due to the weight savings of the XL ND, the flight performance is now increased even more. With extravagant construction solutions, the FunCub XL stands out and sets completely new standards in its class.

A remarkably strong fuselage due to "M-Frame Technology", stable and light carbon tubes (CFRP) in the wings, offset landing flaps and a very easy and quick upgrade of the model - thanks to the struts with quick release fasteners.
