The DF-4S Varant Crawler from DF Models is a high-end crawler designed for top-tier performance, featuring a 313mm wheelbase and based on the DF4S PRO crawler series.
Underneath the detailed, flip-up scale body with numerous attachments and extensive lighting, the steel frame chassis provides a solid foundation. Vertically mounted full-aluminum oil-filled shocks ensure optimal performance on any terrain.
The switchable 2-speed transmission allows for slow crawling (approx. 3 km/h) and faster driving (approx. 13 km/h). The electronic speed controller (ESC) features a drag brake, preventing the model from rolling away when stopping on inclines.
The specialized electric motor is compatible with the included 7.4V Li-Ion battery, but can also be powered by a 7.4V (2S) or 11.1V (3S) LiPo battery, allowing for exceptionally long run times. The universal battery mount accommodates nearly all battery types.
The scale body is equipped with LED lighting, which can be switched on or off via the remote control. Additionally, the electric winch can also be operated directly from the transmitter.
Advanced Performance Features
The drivetrain is gear-reduced, ensuring maximum power efficiency. Portal axles provide greater ground clearance, preventing the model from "bouncing" over obstacles, a common issue with standard axles.
Innovative Remote Control Design
The transmitter features a steering wheel with an additional lever, allowing for convenient one-handed control. Additionally, a built-in smartphone holder lets you attach your phone (not included) directly to the remote, turning it into a hands-free filming setup.
