Description "TAMIYA PORSCHE 911 GT1 STREET TA03R-S 1/10 KIT 4WD EP"
The 911 GT-1 is the re-edition of the legendary kit 300058193 from 1997 in a street version.

The kit contains the TA03 chassis in the RS version. RS stands for rear engine (R=Rear) and a short wheelbase (S=Short Wheelbase). Thus the proportions of this "over-porsch" are very well reproduced.
The original was produced in 1996 and was powered by a 3.1 litre 6-cylinder engine with almost 600 hp. The top speed at that time was about 330Km/h! The racing car was at that time 1996 LeMans with and occupied the second and third place. In 1998 the team did better and secured the victory and second place.

The TAMIYA model has four-wheel drive via a toothed belt and a rear engine. The suspension includes four oil-pressure shock absorbers.
