Description "FUTABA Car Drift Gyro GYD550"
The GYD550 Car Drift Gyro is designed to stabilize perfect drifts with controlled drift angles, either in AVCS or Normal mode. Weighing only 5.6 g and micro-dimensions by using the latest MEMS sensor technology, it fits in RC cars of various sizes.

All settings are made wirelessly via transmitter in the gyro. No PC or setup software is required. The gyro effect can be adjusted via a separate channel from the transmitter.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To adjust the gyroscope via remote control, at least software version V7x is required for the transmitter T7PX / T7PXR and at least software version V4x for the receivers R334SB / R334SB-E! The current firmware versions can be found here: SOFTWARE DONLOADS

Note for FUTABA digital servos: When using SR suitable steering servos, transmitters (T7PX, T7XC and the new T4PM system) and SR receivers the gyro can also be operated in SR mode ("super response": fastest signal transmission).

Both connection sides are pluggable and can be easily adapted to the model conditions by using different patch cables (plug - plug) with different lengths.

Normal Gyro Mode: In this mode the GYD550 works like a normal gyro: In case of an angle change the position is corrected by the steering servo. This mode is ideal for all non-drifting RC cars.

AVCS Mode (Active Angular Velocity Control System): The AVCS Mode was developed especially for drift cars to perform wild drifting maneuvers in different speed ranges for as long as possible. For this purpose, the GYD550 features Heading Hold Technology to support the driver as much as possible when drifting.
