In 2019, OMPHOBBY revolutionised the world of RC helicopters with the first direct-drive 3D helicopter, the M2 V1. This technology was further developed throughout the M2 series and later set new standards in the 100-class with the M1 series. It ultimately paved the way for the hugely successful M2 V3 PRO. Following this resounding success, it was clear that the M1 series deserved the same treatment – and that ‘good’ or even ‘fantastic’ would not do justice to this helicopter’s monumental legacy. It had to be perfect.

A breakthrough in lightweight construction redefined

Performance benchmark for the 100-class.

This specially developed, ultra-light 100-class micro-helicopter is suitable for every flying level, from beginners to 3D experts, and offers 20–30% longer flight times, more power and more precise control.

The flying weight of 112 g (including the integrated ExpressLRS receiver) and the rotor diameter of 297 mm ensure the lowest wing loading and the most refined flying experience in its class.

OFS3+ flight control system

Controlled via OFS3+ with integrated ExpressLRS, this micro-helicopter achieves unparalleled flight performance.
Features include comprehensive telemetry support, app integration, tuning options via a simplified LED display or full PID access, firmware updates, as well as 3D flight, horizontal stabilisation and a fully equipped rescue mode.

Compatible with CRSF- (ExpressLRS, Crossfire, Tracer), F.Port, SRXL2, DSM and S.BUS receivers.

120° stepped lightweight frame

The integrated, lightweight aluminium alloy servo mounting frame features a uniform 120° arrangement that combines high strength with low weight. It ensures structural stability under complex flight conditions and provides a solid basis for precise control.

Lightweight yet rigid, with a fully reinforced and redesigned frame.

Completely redesigned airframe, based on the M2 V3 design language with a central main plate, servo mount, reinforcement plates and traditional landing gear.

The airframe of the M1 V3 PRO has been redesigned from the ground up to optimise weight as much as possible whilst maintaining its incredible robustness and flight performance. The frame structure is now closely modelled on the M2 V3 helicopter series, which has proven to be extremely lightweight yet virtually indestructible in crashes. A central main plate forms the backbone of the frame and supports the motor, the servo rod, the new and improved DS2045LW V2 servos and the tail boom. Two sturdy carbon plates serve as mounting points for the skids, the battery and the OFS3+ flight controller. Like its larger counterparts, the frame also features reinforcement plates in the tail section, which redirect forces during a crash, thereby increasing the likelihood of the core components surviving. All screws on the M1 V3 PRO have been carefully selected and feature exclusively 1.3 mm and 1.5 mm hex heads. Special tools are no longer required, and there are no compromises – you need only two standard hex keys to maintain the entire helicopter.

Precision at your fingertips

With a new, reinforced rotor system.

As the first model in its size class, the M1 V3 PRO features a main rotor head with axial bearings. This significantly extends the service life of the blade bearings whilst enabling smoother and more precise control of the blade angles and, consequently, the rotor thrust and cyclic torques. Combined with a new, more agile rotor geometry and the new APEX 125 rotor blades, this new, black anodised and bead-blasted rotor head is ideally suited to guiding the M1 V3 PRO through even the most demanding 3D flights. At the same time, it enables incredibly precise and fine control at low RPMs. Thanks to the new rotor geometry optimised for OFS3, the M1 V3 PRO offers more control options than ever before.

Highly efficient brushless motor

The brand-new R23X-2 main motor is designed to handle sudden high loads during 3D flight operations. It offers an exceptional power-to-weight ratio and high efficiency, delivering explosive thrust and extending flight time during aggressive manoeuvres.

Ultra-light tail system

A super-light tail made from round carbon tubing with a minimalist motor mount and colour-coordinated, double-sided printed tail fin ensures maximum durability.

The optimised R11X-2 motor and the precisely matched APEX27 tail propeller deliver stronger thrust with lower noise levels and, together with the second-generation OFS3+ TALY, outperform tail control via collective pitch.

The tail boom is now made from a hollow carbon fibre tube, which increases durability and reduces weight. The minimalist tail motor mount guarantees precise and rapid response around the yaw axis whilst also serving as a heat sink for the new R11X-2 tail motor. This motor drives the new APEX 27 tail rotor, which significantly increases tail rotor performance whilst reducing noise and improving visibility compared to the previous M1 tail rotor.
