Channels: 16

16-channel RC set 2.4GHz FHSS with gimbals, 8 switches, 4 rotary knobs. Memory for 100 models, acro mixer, gliders, helis, multicopters, cars, boats, tanks. Up to 3 flight modes, assignable controls and switches, telemetry on the display. Possible connection of an external RF module with CRSF protocol. R16F receiver with telemetry.

T16D is a 16-channel computer transmitter for hobby model builders. It allows configuration of basic functions such as servo reversing and includes a range of mixers for controlling a wide variety of models—such as acro-powered models, gliders, multicopters, cars, and other land vehicles and boats. It can operate with an internal RF module using the FHSS transmission system (same as the T8FB/T8S or RadioLink pistol transmitters R4GS/R6GS/R8X). However, this transmitter also supports the connection of long-range external RF modules like ELRS or TBS Crossfire. It has a practical housing that fits comfortably in the hand, with a classic and proven ergonomic control layout.

Controls: Precise gimbals with adjustable spring tension and the option to shift the locked throttle axis to the left or right are used to control main functions. This allows you to freely choose the operating modes of the gimbals 1–4. The digital trims provide audible signals for step count and center position. They are slightly offset and easy to reach. Additional channels can be operated using two rotary knobs on the front and two self-centering rotary knobs on the rear of the transmitter. Eight switches (three 3-position and five 2-position switches) can be used as channel switches or for turning program functions on/off. A pair of buttons and a programming wheel/button, along with a 2.8-inch LCD color display with a resolution of 320×240 pixels, make programming simple. The transmitter runs the freeRTOS operating system.

Transmitter power supply: The T16D can be powered from various sources: 8 alkaline AA batteries or NiMH cells using the included holder, 8-cell NiMH battery packs (AA size), or 2- to 4-cell LiPo or Li-Ion packs. Power supply via a phone power bank is also possible through the USB-C port.

Transmission system: The T16D uses FHSS transmission with frequency hopping to ensure long range, reliability, and resistance to interference. For the internal RF section, three FHSS transmission protocols with different speeds can be selected (14ms for analog servos, 4ms/3ms for digital servos), depending on the type of RadioLink receiver and servos used. When using a telemetry-capable receiver, telemetry can be transmitted from both the receiver and a connected RadioLink flight controller, if present. For compatibility with external modules, bidirectional protocols ELRS and CRSF V2 are supported.

Programs: The T16D provides programs for eight model types—classic airplanes, flying wings/delta, multicopters, helicopters, cars, boats, tracked vehicles/tanks, and robots. The transmitter supports integration with RadioLink controllers for aircraft, drones, vehicles, or even fishing boats, including the respective telemetry functions.

  • Memory for 100 models with the ability to copy and rename models
  • System settings (display brightness, contrast, backlight, menu language, etc.)
  • Selectable gimbal modes 1–4
  • Servo monitor
  • Servo reversing
  • Setting servo travel (endpoints)
  • Servo speed
  • Free assignment of functions and controls for channels 5–16
  • 8 freely programmable mixers with selectable curves: linear, exponential, broken curve, 9-point curve
  • Switchable controller mode (up to 17 modes)
  • 3 flight modes
  • Dual rate endpoints and selectable curve shapes (exponential, broken curve, 9-point curve) for channels 1, 2, and 4
  • Throttle curve (up to 9 points)
  • Throttle preset (motor kill for planes, autorotation for helis)
  • V-tail mixer
  • Delta wing mixer
  • Gyro control mixer (for RadioLink receivers with built-in gyro)
  • Collective pitch curve for helicopters
  • Heli swashplate mixer
  • Tracked vehicle mixer
  • Fishing boat control (only with R16F receiver and a RadioLink controller with GPS), allowing the setting of a route with up to 100 waypoints
  • Auxiliary ID: Enables control of multiple models with receivers bound to the transmitter without switching model memory (e.g. drive a truck with a trailer carrying a digger—once at the construction site, flip the switch to activate auxiliary ID and control the digger with the same transmitter)
  • 2 timers
  • Switch assignments
  • Assignment of audio messages to individual switch positions (you can record custom voice messages into the transmitter—for example, announcing flight modes or gear deployment—and assign them to specific switch positions)
  • Telemetry voice output
  • USB-C port for firmware updates or for controlling the RC simulator on PC (from version V1.7.1 onward)
  • Trainer jack for cable connection of two RadioLink transmitters
  • Compatible receivers: RadioLink R12F, R16F, R8FM, R8SM, R8XM, R8FGH, R8FG, R7FG, R6FG, R6F, R6FGM, R4F.
  • The included R16F receiver allows selection of several channel output modes (16 PWM outputs for classic servos, 15xPWM + S.BUS, 13xPWM + S.BUS + RX/TX CRSF, 14xPWM + RX/TX CRSF), with combinations of PWM outputs for standard servos, S.BUS serial output, and CRSF input/output. You can easily connect standard servos, S.BUS servos, and other devices or controllers.

Telemetry:
When using the internal FHSS RF module and RadioLink telemetry receivers, information on the receiver’s supply voltage and RSSI signal strength is available. With the R16F receiver, it is also possible to measure and display the voltage of, for example, a drive battery up to 6S LiPo on the transmitter. You can also set thresholds for warning notifications in case of weak signal or low voltage. When using the RadioLink controller, telemetry data from that unit can be displayed.
When using the external RF module with CRSF protocol and the corresponding receiver, telemetry from that receiver can also be displayed.
