100 : 35 parts by volume resin : hardener.Properties:
- Extremely low viscosity (mixed viscosity 250 mPas at 25 °C).
- Highly transparent (Gardner color number < 1)
- Curing possible from 15 °C
- Glass transition temperature (Tg) > 85 °C (with heat curing 70 °C / 15 h)
- No brittleness with pure cold curing (at 20 °C)
- High static and dynamic strength
Epoxy resin L with hardener GL 1 is a frequently used laminating resin system from the R&G product range. It is also very suitable for bonding wood, metal and PS rigid foams such as Styropor® due to its low surface tension, good adhesion and low curing shrinkage. It is excellent for impregnating glass, aramid and carbon fibers and offers a very good price/performance ratio.Suitable for the following processing methods:
- Vacuum infusion (RI)
- RTM (resin transfer molding)
- wet presses
- Vacuum pressing
- Fiber winding
- hand lay-up
Due to the bisphenol A/F base, the resin component is absolutely free of crystallization! The resin system is cold curing and does not develop pronounced brittleness even at curing temperatures below 20 °C. However, in order to improve the mechanical and physical properties, we recommend heat curing at a temperature of at least 40 °C for 15 hrs.
