Description

1960:
The original AMIGO is born. With a wingspan of 1770 mm, designed primarily as a free-flight model, the model can be remote-controlled.

1966:
The legendary AMIGO II with its then proud wingspan of 2000 mm is presented as a novelty. The unmistakable design with the distinctive fuselage cross-section constriction under the wing leading edge and the typical wing ears becomes world-famous. The extremely popular AMIGO II remains in Graupner's product range for 24 years.

1990:
Since 1990, the AMIGO III has been released with minor detail changes, still produced in Kirchheim unter Teck.

2011:
With a new, fresh outfit, the AMIGO IV will be added to the Graupner Novelties catalogue in 2011. The components have now been laser-cut and the material packaging is now manufactured in Vietnam.

2017:
The AMIGO V No. 9541 is delivered, the model is a reminiscence of the AMIGO II wing, elevation and rudder correspond to the AMIGO II, the fuselage design is almost identical. Only the deep-drawn canopy has a modern shape and can be removed with a magnetic lock.
Striking features such as the classic colour scheme of the AMIGO II adorn the AMIGO V. The classic covering with Japanese covering paper and the coating with Spannfix Immune Tension Varnish are also recommended for the AMIGO V and described in detail in the building instructions. This type of covering gives the AMIGO V the legendary good-natured flight characteristics and gives the filigree wing a high torsional strength.

AMIGO V die optimierten Details:
Construction plan scale 1:1 in DIN A 0 format, the left and right wing half is printed.
The blueprint no longer needs to be treated with oil so that the left half of the surface is visible on the reverse side of the blueprint and can be assembled.
Assembly is simpler, as there is no need to deal with several balsa wood parts.
The "U" shims are made of 0.8 mm thick cardboard and facilitate the assembly of the concave underside of the wing.
The deep-drawn canopy is reliably held with a magnetic lock.
The rudder and elevator servo is positioned further forward in the fuselage so that no trim weight is required.
The font, colour and size of the decal sheet correspond to those of the AMIGO II.
The AMIGO V model can optionally be equipped with a newly designed motor attachment. However, the previous motor attachment No. 2910 is also suitable.
