Picares F5J "Long Ear" VLW
The long ear is a further development of the Picares EVO. With a view to the F5J and F5J-400 class, the wingspan was increased to 2.5m with longer outer wings. In addition, ailerons are provided to maintain good controllability.
NEW The long tube is now delivered with a V tail unit, the circular flight characteristics are significantly improved with the V tail unit!
With a take-off weight from 635 grams, the long ear is a lightweight and due to the larger wingspan even more thermally stiff and spacious to fly than the EVO.
The intended drive with chipper A10-7L 4.4:1 with 3S and 13x8 LS is sufficient for a climbing performance of about 7 m/s. Thus, sufficient heights for thermal search can be achieved in a short time.
All parts of EVO, long ear and V2Q are compatible with each other! For example, you can make an existing EVO electric with replacement outer surfaces into a long ear. Subsequent installation of cables and plugs in the surface is possible without any problems.
