Description "VALUEPLANES VP2600 Glider ARF with GRP fuselage"
"VP2600" is a simple, yet very powerful glider or electric model with a compact wingspan of 2.6 metres. It is controlled via 2 axes with elevator and rudder. The tail is attached with a conical carbon tube. The tailplane is attached to this with a carbon fibre bracket in the form of a pendulum tailplane. The assembly of the kit does not present any major obstacles for the average experienced modeller. The building instructions are in English but contain many self-explanatory pictures. The building plan is printed in M1:1 to simplify assembly considerably.
If the model is to be used as an electric glider, the nose of the fuselage must be cut off first. This has the advantage that the spinner diameter and motor can be varied to a certain extent. Spinners with a diameter of 32 mm have proven to be ideal.
The recommended motor is a 22-29 motor for a 3S setup with a 10x8" propeller.
We recommend a 9mm servo for the tailplane in the fuselage. As a special feature, the rudder is mounted directly in the vertical stabiliser. The servo used here should not be wider than 8mm as space is limited.
The position of the receiver, the battery and the controller in the case of an electric version, is not specified by the manufacturer. The modeller can incorporate his personal preferences here.
