Even if the part to be soldered is accidentally overheated locally and annealed, (on stainless steels a stubborn oxide layer forms immediately, which is no longer dissolved by normal flux) the flux coating of this cadmium-free brazing alloy can dissolve even the oxide layer that forms on stainless steel at too high temperatures. Processing requires special torches!
