The new GPS III is the logical further development of the GPS II. By a complete restructuring of the software the performance was improved considerably and new features were implemented. The GPS III recognizes which remote control system or PowerBox/iGyro it is connected to and sets up communication completely automatically. The PowerBox Terminal can be used to select different slots for Futaba. For HoTT and Multiplex, different alarms can be set for altitude or distance. In most systems, the GPS III can display additional information, such as the number of satellites, accuracy of position information and 2D distance.

The proven Helix radial antenna has been adopted from the GPS II - the unique selling point of the PowerBox GPS III: only with this antenna is GPS reception guaranteed in all flight situations.
