PRODUKTTEST: Traxxas Wide-Maxx 4S brushless Monster Truck
"Wild - Tough - Rough - Durable"
Traxxas, eine Marke die sich weltweit durch eine Vielzahl an Modellen im RC Bereich von großer Beliebtheit erfreut, hat einen Monster Truck auf den Markt gebracht, der das Zeug zu einer ultimativen Offroad-Rakete hat. Dazu wurde ein bereits bekanntes, erprobtes Chassis erweitert und getunt. Wir sprechen hierbei vom Traxxas Maxx, dieser wurde zum Traxxas "Wide-Maxx".
Er wurde zum richtigen Monster Truck...
Sein Vorgänger, der Maxx, bekam ein Update! Die neue Version wurde mittels verlängerter Achsen, breiter und noch bulliger gemacht. Dabei das Gewicht reduziert, jedoch die Haltbarkeit verdoppelt!
Was bringt das Ganze nun?
Ganz einfach gesagt, ... "Er fällt jetzt in den Kurven nicht mehr so schnell um" Zudem kommt das Geschoss nun auch weit schneller auf Touren. Die Grundlegende Gewichtsersparnis kam der Beschleunigungsrate zu Gute und der Wide-Maxx hat nun mehr Vortrieb.
Was verbirgt sich unter der Haube?
Er wurde schlichtweg breiter - genau gesagt um 4cm!
Der Vorteil liegt nun darin, dass er "stabiler" und "satter" auf der Fahrbahn liegt.
Man erkennt durchaus bei schnellen Kurvenfahrten ein verbessertes Fahrverhalten. Die Verbreiterung
Zudem fällt die bulligere Optik im Vergleich zum Vorgänger gleich ins Auge.
So soll ein Monster Truck sein, stark, bullig, breit und stabil.
Was brauchst du um fahren zu können?
Nur Akkus und Ladegerät! 4STK AA Batterien für die Fernsteuerung vorausgesetzt.Das gibt es im praktischem Bundel in verschiedenen Versionen wie unter folgendem Link:
Traxxas Lader mit Lipo-Akku
4S Lipoakku wird für den Betrieb mit maximaler Leistung benötigt. Natürlich ist es auch möglich, den Truck mit 3S zu Betreiben. Die Leistung wird in diesem Falle durch den Lipo Akku dezimiert.
Gerade für Anfänger wäre das ein optimale Einstiegsvariante. Als Tuning kann später ein stärkerer Akku verwendet werden.
Volle Kontrolle!
Das der ultimative All-Terrain Reifen für maximalen Grip in jeder Lage.Ein Stollenprofiel mit Querlamellen bietet beste Traktion auf unwirklichen Fahrbahnverhältnissen.
Ausgestattet mit selbstreinigendem Reifenprofil - damit ist der Sledgehammer Reifen, so wie er von Traxxas benannt wurde, ist was für das Grobe.
Benötige ich Bremswirkung auf nasser Fahrbahn?! Fraglich :) Der Reifen wurde für das schnell fahren entwickelt!
Regler, Motor, Servo und co..
Alter Bekannter, wenn auch etwas neu überarbeitet, der Regler "Velineon® VXL-4s High Output Electronic Speed Control, waterproof (brushless) (fwd/rev/brake)"im Traxxas Wide-Maxx 4S. Spritzwasser feste Elektronik mit vielen Einstellungsmöglichkeiten. Der Widemaxx wird ab Werk im Trainingsmodus ausgeliefert, kann jedoch Kinderleicht auf maximale Leistung umgeschalten werden. Vorteil daran, man kann sich auf das Auto etwas einstellen bevor man die Rakete zum Start frei gibt.
Der Motor, Velineon® 540XL, 2400Kv 70mm, brushless , ist für die Umsetzung des Reglers zuständig und verrichtet sein Werk in brachialer Manier.
Beide Komponenten bilden somit das Herzstück des Traxxas Wide-Maxx 4S Monster Truck 1/10
Damit sind Geschwindigkeiten, je nach Bodenbeschaffenheit, bis zu 100kmh+ möglich.
Beschleunigungsraten wie in einem Formel 1 Auto...
Zur Lenkkontrolle kommt ein kugelgelagertes Traxxas 2090, Spritzwasser festes High Torque Servo zum Einsatz.
Aber keine Sorge, sollte es mal eng werden, so werdet Ihr vom TSM -Traxxas Stability Management unterstützt.
Diese innovative Lenkhilfe erleichtert euch die Kontrolle über das Modell auf rutschigem Untergrund - das ESP für RC Cars.
Modulare Bauweise
Die modulare Bauweise ermöglicht einfache Wartung oder schneller Wechsel bei Defekten oder verschlissenen Bauteilen.
Metall im Getriebe
Das Antriebskonzept überragt mit gehärteten Zahnrädern aus Metall. Dort wo Druck entsteht kommen spezielle Teile zum Einsatz. Das Hauptzahnrad besteht aus einem robusten, verstärkten Kunststoff.
Aufrichtfunktion
Der Traxxas Wide-Maxx 4S verfügt über eine eigene Aufrichtfuktion. Das System, schaukelt das Modell durch Gas-stöße und abrupte Bremsmanöver auf. ABER, funktioniert nur wenn der Untergrund hart genug ist. Zudem ist es eine Überlegung wert, ob man nicht selber zum Modell hingeht und es einfach aufstellt, denn für das Getriebe ist das auf Dauer gesehen nicht gut. Es ist eine nette Funktion, aber würde es nicht dauerhaft benutzen!
Du hast die Auswahl beim Traxxas Wide-Maxx
Mit seinem verschiedenen Farbdesigns trifft er jeden Geschmack! Von Rock and Roll über dezentes Rot bis hin zu sattem Grün. Für jede Jahreszeit und jede Vorliebe ist etwas dabei.
Das Chassis bleibt immer gleich, es ändert sich nur die Karosserievariante und ein kleiner Farbring an den Felgen.
Fazit:
Ein guter Allrounder - Geeignet für alle! Leistung ist da und diese kann gut kontrolliert werden. Damit ist man nicht überfordert, hat jedoch noch Luft in punkto Leistung nach oben. Elektronische Helferlein wie das TSM sind gerade für Anfänger klasse Unterstützer, wobei man sich nicht voll darauf verlassen soll. Im Großen und Ganzem ein solider Monster Truck von Traxxas - für Jedermann!
