KDSV THX-30 is a brushable, condensation-curing 2-component silicone rubber with high elongation properties for replicas made of cast ceramics, plaster, polyester, polyurethane and epoxy resins. The resistance to epoxy resin systems is limited. However, one can usually make at least 10 impressions before the surface of the silicone rubber shows visible wear. However, this depends on the epoxy resin system used, the temperature during curing and the mechanical stress during demoulding.

Silicone rubber KDSV THX-30 can be thickened even more by means of thickening additive C, if necessary to the point of a trowelable, non-runny compound.

• Tear resistance: > 21 N/mm
• Linear shrinkage: 0.3 %.

No reaction heat is generated during vulcanisation, so that even larger quantities (e.g. 10 kg) can be cast without the risk of overheating.
